Dixie grew up in in a small farming community in Texas.  She went to college at University of Texas in Austin and then continued to the University of Texas in Galveston for her training as a Physician Assistant. Years later, she attended the University of New Mexico where she received a master’s degree in Learning Sciences.

Dixie has been practicing as a PA for more than 25 years.  She has worked in New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona with a primary focus on caring for patients with many types of cancer. She specifically enjoys urology because the patients have a good sense of humor.  She also likes that it is a field of medicine where small interventions can make a big difference in how patients feel.  She takes a special interest in working with the women’s urological needs.

Dixie is excited to be in Colorado because she enjoys the seasons and the outdoor activities and opportunities.  In her personal time, she enjoys doing home improvement projects, hanging out with her cat, and participating in group fitness.
